One Last Project from Convention

Wow another busy week at school! Work keeps getting in the way of stamping!! The page below is a cute 8X8 page we did at convention. We used our new flight of the butterfly set that we received at convention. This set is so versatile and you can do so many different things with it. My favorite is the cute butterfly on the The letter U. It looks like it just landed! There are wonderful words wrapped in shapes in the set that add a nice touch to any card or scrapbook page.We were able to use one of the new felt flowers in Baha breeze and the new buttons in the same color. It is so great to see the products before you purchase them. I still am enjoying all the wonderful things I saw and got at convention.

I love the new in colors. If I haven't shown you them they are below as well as the other color families. The color combinations stampin up produces are the reason I love their product. Each of stampin up's exclusive colors is organized into one of four color families: Bold Brights, Earth Elements, Rich Regals, Soft Subtles, and Neutrals and of course yearly In colors that reflect trends in decorating. Once you have selected your color scheme, you have a full range of coordinating products (paper, ink, ribbon, pens, crayons) from which to choose. Stampin up offers a wide variety of accessories and embellishments designed to enhance your stamped projects.

In colors this year are the first set ion top and go from left right Pacific Point, Baha Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, second row Riding hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Tangerine Tango. So you are probably impressed with all the colors but wondering how do I know what color goes with what. Well do I have a great site for you! This site allows to to pick any combination of colors from stampin up and create a variety of color combinations that are guaranteed to work check it out let me know what you think, Thanks for looking Virginia

Welcome Banner

Well I finally got the banner pennant die. Yippee! This is the banner for my work room one of the first things I made. I used the new urban Garden Designer Series paper and card stock it was so easy I love my new big shot!

More Projects from Convetion

I couldn't wait to use this set at convention and this project was every bit as wonderful as I imagined. It started with a sheet of tangerine tango. I used versamark to stamp the grass from the inspired by nature set. I then used whisper white craft ink to stamp flower from the set. Using designer series paper I adhered it to a white paper bag along with the stamped section and then adhered a length of grosgrain ribbon. Last part was a 3x3 note to stamp and attach to bag easy peasy.

hanging off the bag is a book marker made using the new filigree brads, pacific point striped ribbon, and a chip board frame. Oh what fun I had at convention! Thanks for looking Virginia!

Projects from Convention

This was my favorite Project at convention. I thought it was so pretty and love the use of the ribbon. The project is a box made out of Pink Pirouette and stamped using the same color ink and eastern Blooms stamp set. A piece of Bella rose Designer Series paper is cut and punched using scallop border punch. Then adhere the paper to the finished box.

The ribbon flower is made by sewing a running stitch along one side of a length of pirouette pink ribbon and then pulling it to gather and tie off. Then using crystal effects cover edges of flower and dip in silver chunky glitter set aside to dry.

Using eastern blooms rub ons cut out a flower and rub on whisper white scrap. Using a 1 inch circle punch cut out and then add a pink brad.
Stamp a note of thanks and cut it out to look like a flag. Then using glue dots attach flower and sentiment to box as shown.
Thanks for looking Virginia

September cards

September Stamp club had an option of two cards this month instead of the Scrap book page I showed you yesterday.

Supplies

Paper Always Artichoke, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine tango, Whisper White Stamps Inspired by Nature, Sanded Ink Chocolate chip, Always Artichoke, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango

Accessories Top note die, Big shot, Stamping write markers in Chocolate chip and Always Artichoke, Ribbon, Stamping dimensionals, and scallop border, new larger oval, key tag punches

Start by inking and stamping the sanded background on a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 piece Always Artichoke card stock with the same color ink. Using you big shot (and the top note die) send 2 pieces of card stock through the machine one in Chocolate Chip and the other in Whisper White. Remove and trim along dotted line of the Whisper White card stock. To stamp this image you will need to do the following;

  1. Ink the flower section of the inspired by nature stamp set with Tangerine Tango

  2. Using a Q-tip or a blender pen remove the Tangerine Tango ink from stems and leaves.

  3. Take a Always Artichoke stamping write marker and paint in stems and leaves.

  4. Take a Chocolate chip, stamping write marker and paint the centers of the cone flowers

  5. Huff and stamp!

Assemble the card wrap with a section of orange ribbon and adhere to card stock. Stamp a sentiment and punch from oval punch and Punch a piece of Tangerine Tango using the new large oval. Assemble and adhere using stamping dimensionals.

Second card

Take 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 piece of Kiwi Kiss card stock and using ink in the same color stamp both the flower and the grass in the center of your card stock. Using the left over choclate chip peice from the top note die cut trim so it is slightly smaller than the kiwi kiss card stock. It is easier to trim after cutting. This is because if you don't center the top note frame when you run it through the machine, you can center it now when you cut it. Using stamping dimensionals tack to Kiwi kiss card stock. Using whisper white ribbon tie and adhere to the bottom of the card. Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of whisper white (I actually used a left over section of stamped grass)and punch using Key tag punch. Thanks for looking Virginia
