I'm framed!

I have noticed on several blogs frames being made with Stampin'up papers so I thought I would try it! It was so easy and I even got to do a water color to go inside it.

I started with a frame from the dollar spot at Target. Then cut the two coordinating papers the dimensions of the frame. It's best if they are slightly bigger because you can sand off the excess later. Lay the frame on the papers and trace the inside so you have a cutting guide. Trim and use glue, tacky is great, to adhere the papers to the frame. When dry sand edges to trim. I then used close to cocoa ink to age the edges of the frame.

Use a coordinating ribbon and glue to seam. I had an antique hat with flowers and used one of those to finish the frame. I love my old bits of lace and trim!

The inside is done on very vanilla card stock with always artichoke and barley banana ink. Using the art of Life set I stamped the card. I stamped off the design. This means after the first application of the stamp I continue to stamp two or three more times. This gives the illusion of depth. Using a blender pen I blended the background as well as the sky in bashful blue ink. Lastly I stamped the sentiment from small script. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Thanks for Looking!
