Sorry I have been missing in action!
I returned home Saturday and have spent the last two days playing with my stamps it is a type of therapy for me. Art has always been a way for me to escape. So here is one of my cards I made today and I have two more to share with you this week.
This card is for my Syracuse Group. We meet this Tuesday. This card is a diamond fold card and I got the directions from this site they were very simple and made a complicated card seem easy!
Supplies
Stamps Polka Dot Punches, Petal Pizazz
Paper, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Pirouette Pink, Pretty in Pink, Raspberry Tart DSP
Ink Certainly Celery, Rose Red, Pirouette Pink
Accessories Petal, Window, 3/4 inch, 1 inch, Boho and Scallop punches, Build a brad, Stampin a ma jig, Bone folder
I followed the directions from this site to make the the base of the card.
I started the flower using a stamp from Petal Pizazz. I used a technique called rock and roll. I started by inking the stamp with Pirouette Pink and then rolling it in Rose red ink. Then stamped it on Pirouette Pink paper, using the scallop punch I cut it out.
Using my snips I cut close to the center each petal and turned them around a pen. Stamped the center of the flower on Pretty in pink paper with Rose red ink and punched it out and used my build a brad to make the center. lat part wast to use my boho punch to make medallion and put them all together using the brad.
The DSP from raspberry tart was cut for the background. Using Certainly Celery ink and paper stamp the five petal flower, punch out and use a leaves for the flower. To adhere flower use a stamping dimensional.
Last part is a insert rectangle of Certainly Celery ink and paper. The heart stamp was used and to situate it I used my trusty Stampin a ma jig.
Thanks for looking Virginia
