Post-it-note Holder

I saw this Post it note holder at Angie Judas's Blog and I decided to try it out. It was so easy and quick to do.
So here are the instructions
Stamps Doodle this, little pieces, So many Scallops
Ink Rose Red
Paper River rock, Rose red, Whisper white
Accessories post it note(a third of a note pad) Crop-a-dille, Stamping Dimensional, key ring, Ribbon
Cut a piece of card stock 1/4 inch larger than the post it note holder and twice the length plus a 1/2 inch. So for a 3x 3 inch note pad you would cut a piece of river rock 3 1/4 X 6 1/2. score at 3 3/8 and 3 5/8. stamp images and assemble. To add key ring use your crop a dile to punch a hole through all layers it is amazing how it punches all through the layers. Insert key ring, tie off ribbon . Using Sale a brate to create a gift set!

OK I must confess I have almost every set from Sale-a-bration. One of the cool bonuses of being a SU demo! Google Internet Marketing Consultant

So this gift set uses 3 of my sale-a-bration gift sets. If you are sitting around wondering what to do with your stuff get it out and let's get to work! I think this gift set is so simple, clean, and easy to do.

Cards

  1. Cut a 12 x 12 sheet of whisper white card stock in half and then Cut those sections at 3" You will have 8 cards, fold in half.

  2. Using basic black card stock cut eight 2 3/4" squares.

  3. Using your embossing buddy rub surface of basic black squares.

  4. Now use versamark to stamp flowers and sentiment from friendship blooms set in a variety of ways on all your squares.

  5. Emboss with white embossing powder, heat to set.

  6. Adhere ribbon to black square and then adhere square to white card stock.

  7. Using 3 x 3 inch mini envelopes decorate with basic black ink

Candle

  1. Cut out a rub on from Love and Happiness rub on set.

  2. Place on candle.

  3. Carefully rub on with Popsicle stick or bone folder.

  4. Remove backing, voila a wonderfully decorated candle in less than sixty seconds.

Wrapping it up!

Because the candle is small I used a clear envelope (cut off sticky part) to wrap up Candle. I used the sale-a-bration set So Many Scallops to create tag with basic black ink on whisper white card stock. Punch with scallop punch and set aside. Then using a cute flower from the love and happiness set, rub on to basic black card stock and then with a 1" punch cut out a circle. Adhere circle to scallop punch flower that you set aside. Using Crop-a-dile punch a hole for check ribbon and tie off the clear envelope.

Thanks for looking Virginia

Scrapbook Page

Hello I have a scrap booking group that meets monthly. Some times when you are scrap booking you want to showcase several images. This page is designed to do that, by organizing the images in a serial fashion it allows you to share more than one or two images with out the page becoming overwhelming! Plus you have a nice mat to surround each image. The rose red page is a little busy but if you know me one decoration is never enough!
There are two techniques that I want to tell you about. First one is spot lighting. This technique show cases an area on a stamp. I used Tres Chic background stamp and river rock paper and ink and always artichoke stampin write marker. You start by inking Tres Chic stamp with river rock ink. Then using an always artichoke stampin write marker and the brush tip color in the word or area you would like to highlight. Huff when you are done and stamp on river rock paper. Because you have used coordinating ink with the paper the always artichoke words pop!
The second Technique I want to share is not really a technique but a great way to use scraps of stamped images you have laying around to decorate these two pages. I used bits and scraps of old stamping mistakes I have.
In my Studio I always keep three boxes for scraps; one for scarp card stock, one for scrap designer series paper, and lastly a box of scrap stamping mistakes. So when I am looking for an accent piece it is great fun to pull out the box of scraps. This can be a goldmine of great stuff when decorating your scrap book pages just a little touch here and there!
