A gift box
I saw a box like this at Flaxy Chick's website and I loved it! I decided to give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration Michelle. Here are the directions.
I purchased a paper mache box at Michael's and covered the bottom and lid with Stampin'up's ginger blossoms paper. I then cut two sets of 12 squares of ginger blossom paper. One set is 1 1/2" and the other is 1". To make the cone shaped petals you run mono adhesive to one side of the paper. Turn the square so it looks like a diamond and then fold the two middle sections together and flatten the bottom. Layer the larger cones on top of the lid so it looks like aflower. I used my trusty glue gun. I did the same for the second layer. I punched a scallop circle from real rust paper. I also punched a 1 3/8 circle from a section of groovy Guava Paper from the same designer series paper I used above. Then stamped with real rust ink onto river rock paper the flower from Carte postale set and punched that out. I also stamped the flower using same color ink on a piece of whisper white paper. Using my blender pen I created some drama on the flowers by blending out. I then punched the tiny middle flower out and using a build-a-brad placed it on the brad and covered it with the bubble. Lastly I stacked all four together and tacked it down using my glue gun. Thanks for looking and to Michelle for her inspiration! Virginia
