Wow what week. Last week was my annual art show for my students, they were so excited and the show was a great success. then this weekend my son's came home from Brooklyn and Rochester, New york. we had great family times and it seems like a whirl wind. they both are bicycle enthusiasts and worked to fix both my husband's and my bike. The bikes are now in tip top shape. My sons are the greatest I am so proud of both we are very blessed. But enough, what about stamping? This week the challenge at Late night stampers is a summer theme. I have several cards to share with you this week. The first one is an oldy but fits the theme perfectly. Wow, hope you enjoyed the Blog Tour over the weekend. Wasn't it Great? Over 60 websites to visit with all those great ideas. I was really inspired hope you were too! A HUGE THANKS to the folks who organized and all their helpers, Great JOB LADIES. This week the challenge at Late night stampers is a color challenge. The colors are Chocolate chip, Kraft, Ruby Red, Old olive. I was not to sure about the colors but after working with them I was happy with a few of my cards. This week will be a short week for posting for me as I have my annual art show for my students they are SO excited! Here is my first card you may remember this card from last November but it really fits this weeks challenge so I thought I would include it. This card uses a technique called thumping. it gives the trees a multi colored look. A very easy technique. Start by inking the stamp with a light color. Masculine Cards this week!

This week over at late night stampers I am helping host a swap with Dacia Smith . We have come up with a masculine card swap here are the details . It is always easy to make a pretty card, but what about a manly card? For this week's challenge you are charged with creating designs for masculine occasions. Father's day, birthday, or graduation, any card for any occasion, but for a man! As always, we ask you use 100% current Stampin' Up product for your manly creations! Around the corner is father's day, my hubby loves watermelon and the summer fun is around the corner! So this is my first card for the challenge. It was so easy with my circle scissors plus. I cut a 6"circle in certainly celery and then a 5 1/2 "circle in real red. Using my Boho flower punch I used the small star flower to help make the seeds.After punching cut the seeds by rounding one of the petals! I punch the bite from each color card stock. Add the sentiment easy peasy! Supplie

Bloomin Beautiful I thought I would pull out this set for the circle challenge at Late night stampers this week. I used the same watercolor techniques I used for my roses on Tuesday except I didn't use whisper white ink like I did on Tuesday. I used Not quite navy ink and clear embossing powder, it gives me more definition. Another Card using A carousel note can you stand another one!! this is for Late night stampers circle challenge this week. I love the look of these notes and I must thank my friend Jan Reinhardt for her inspiration. I showed you her work a few weeks ago. I have been enjoying using the notes for a variety of cards. Scrapbooking Page for National Scrap Booking Month!

Carousel Note

In keeping with Late night stampers circle challenge this week I have another card for you. This card uses Carousel notes and anew techniques I saw on several blogs I decided to jump on the band wagon and try my hand at it is was so easy. This technique originated with Crystal French from Denver, and was demo'd at the Stampin' Up! Seattle Regional Seminar by Connie Ingram. Circles this week

This week over at Late night stampers the challenge I am designing for is all about circles! Well I really got in gear this week and have several projects to share with you the first one is this cute little gift bag. I have seen the instructions on several blogs and wanted to make my own.So I will show you the instructions I first saw on Splitcoast but I made some adjustments so I can better utilize paper! Here is the tutorial from Splitcoaststampers In an effort to save paper with a few changes to some of the measurements. I got the idea from from 321 stamp's blog Theses are her instructions I am sharing with you. Here is what you will change; Start with a 4 1/4" card stock square for the box Score 7/8" from each of the 4 edges (that's INSTEAD OF the 1" in Diana's version) Also adjust the size of the printed Designer Series Paper that's wrapped around the box to make the bag.
