Weekly classes for the summer!

Image
Schools out for the summer! Since I have the summer off so I will be having weekly classes for stamping for most of the summer! Check out my calendar and sign up for classes by either e-mailing me or calling me at 315-727-7288! Here is a link to what we will be doing this week on Wednesday from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM. Below are the projects we did last Friday! This week we created diorama cards. These cards are a lot of fun and really not as much work as you would think! Here is Pam's card. She is a seasoned stamper and I always love her ideas she created a sense of a round campfire by placing the fire in the second layer! It's just tooooo stinkin cute! Next Up is Pam's Mom Thelma a beginning stamper. She was a bit nervous when starting but got right into it and added the lovely flags when she was finished to a create a breezy (sorry can't help myself) effect! Last up is Jan . She is most definitely an expert stamper. I marvel at her patience. she can sit and cut out

An old card but a remake of it

Since I joined the Late Night Stampers design team not only have I been having a lot of fun but I am also very excited by my improvement in stamping. I have a bit of a big ego!(my husband would say a really large one) The cards I have been making over the last few years were nice, but because I no regularly make and post close to 4 or 5 cards a week my s standards are higher. I really work harder to make a better card. So being on the Late Night Stampers design team has also improved my work, (i told you I had a bit of an ego) an unintended consequences! Don't you just love the added bonus!. Right now over at Late Night Stampers they are creating a call for new designers to join the team. Check out this post if you are interested it has been a joyous as w ell as a great learning experience for me and I am so excited to continue through till September Yoo Hooo! Gift card

Image
Hello Last week at our stamp ten club we made a gift card. It is such an easy project and a great thing to have around. I used Stampin' Up's Parisian Breeze DSP and it was a snap. If you use card stock you can get 2 gift cards out of one piece of 8 1/2 X 11 inch paper. You cut the card stock length wise at 4 1/4. Score the paper at 2 3/4, 5 1/2 and 8 1/4. Using punches you will cut out the hole to insert gift card. I found a great tutorial that makes a similar card. It is by Julie Buhler. Her website is awesome. Her tutorial is very similar to the way I made my card just the measurements are not quite the same so to get a card like mine follow the measurements above but this tutorial will help visualize the process. Supplies, Paper -Parisian Breeze DSP, Baha Breeze, Kraft Ink - Baha Breeze Stamps - So many scallops Accessories - Flower fusion II, Baha Breeze Ribbon, Ice square rhinestones, Square Scallop, Word window, and 1 inch circle Punch Thanks For Looking Virginia

This week is my and Dacia's turn to host the swap at latenight stampers . It will be challenge 23. If you want to see the retiring sets there are lists on my side bar, just a few short weeks left to purchase. You can purchase here at my Stampin'Up Web site here is the great grad set Tomorrow I will show you a scrapbook page and a non graduation card both made with this same set! More Embossing

Image
I love embossing because there are so many ways to use it. In this card I used clear embossing powder to create a background. I started bu using versa mark to ink the toile background stamp then use clear embossing powder emboss. It permanently keeps the areas that are stamped white. I then used a brayer and a dauber to add pinks and reds and greens to the areas I wanted to change. it is a very fun technique and the same one I used for the first two cards I showed you this week. Don't forget all the great specials right now. If you host a $200 party you get an extra $20.00 in extra product. To see retiring sets and find out more click here . Supplies Ink Pretty in Pink, Always Artichoke, So Saffron, Rose Red, Versa mark Stamps Bella toile, Friends 24/7 Paper - Always artichoke, Whisper White, Regal Rose Accessories - Clear embossing powder, daubers, Pretty in pink taffeta ribbon.

Another Embossed Card

Image
Another embossed card for latenight stampers challenge 22. this card started out as the throw away one. You know you aren't sure you like the process so you do one that you plan to throw away. I ended up liking this one almost as much as the one I showed you yesterday. The difference being that I stamped the flower in pumpkin pie and then using a versa mark ink pen I colored the flower and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I actually like the brayering on this one better. Thanks for looking Virginia Killmore Late Night Stampers Design Team Stampin'Up Web site My blog I love what I do and I love sharing it with you Supplies Paper Not Quite navy, Whisper White Stamps Inspired by Nature, Sanded, Thank you Ink Not Quite navy, Certainly Celery, Kiwi Kiss, Pretty in Pink, Lavender Lace, Baha Breeze Accessories Whisper white Ribbon run ribbon through night of navy ink to dye, Stamping dimensionals, and Designer series label, Largest oval punch punches, Versa mark,
