Bag in a box!

Image
Next up are the instructions for this cute little gift bag. I have seen the instructions on several blogs and wanted to make my own. So I will show you the instructions I first saw on Splitcoast but I made some adjustments so I can better utilize paper! Here is the tutorial from Splitcoaststampers In an effort to save paper with a few changes to some of the measurements. I got the idea from from 321 stamp's blog Theses are her instructions I am sharing with you. Here is what you will change; Start with a 4 1/4" card stock square for the box Score 7/8" from each of the 4 edges (that's INSTEAD OF the 1" in Diana's version) Also adjust the size of the printed Designer Series Paper that's wrapped around the box to make the bag. Mine is 6" by 10 1/2". Lastly I adjusted the size of the strip that's around the bottom of the box/bag. Mine started as 1 1/4" by 10 1/2" and then one long edge was punched with SU's Scallop Bor

Image
Well this is the last Fun Friday for a couple of weeks I go to convention next Friday and I will still be at convention the following. I am so excited to be going to stamp camp LOL. That's what my hubby calls convention! I have tomorrow's project for you to see. It did not make this card I made but I received and we will be using the instructions that came with the card. The talented stamper who made this card is Andrea Buckland a stamping friend from Australia. We met through The late night stampers group . Andrea sent me this card and the instructions as part of a swap that I will be heading up at convention. All participants have sent me a tutorial for a project. I am presently burning well over 100 copies to distribute to the participants! I have made a few extra copies for my Lucky stamp ten groups this fall. So if you are interested why not join my group! You don;t have to be present to participate. One of my favorite parts of being a demo is all the wonderfully generou

New movers and shapers die

Image
I am in love with the new movers and shapers die from Stampin'up! It cuts and scores a card while cutting out a decorative piece from the card front at the same time! The Curly Label die includes a grid on the inside which allows for exact placement of the movable label piece. This die also coordinates with Curly Label Punch Bundle. For this project I used the heart shaper and the heart punch! it is a bit tricky but I am working on a tutorial and promise to share when it is ready! Thanks for looking Virginia!

New Cards

Image
I'm a week behind. I am so busy preparing for swaps for convention. In case you don't know what a swap is here is the low down. I make sample card fronts for convention I get to convention and trade with 6000 women who love stamping as much as I do! I promise to show you some swaps next week. ( I really don't make 6000) First card up is brought to you by Sherill Graff you see she is a philanthropic stamper! She donates free stuff to stampers can you believe it! I was the lucky recipient in May of $50.00 in free stamping merchandise. I have been wanting the movers and shapers die and she granted me my wish! Look at what this die can do! This die cuts a shape any where you want in a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 inch area! It is truly amazing and very easy to use. The Mover and Shaper Die creates a opening anywhere on the card as you can move the die around. Then when you run it through the Big Shot machine, it punches out that shape in the card stock and creases the fold to boot! To see

Last week I made this card while I was showing others how a diorama card is made thought it was appropriate for the fourth! Supplies Paper -Brilliant blue, Real Red, Whisper White Accessories – Large and small Star punch, 1 3/8 and 1 1/4 circle punches, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

My Nephews Help set the table for the fourth!

Image
My nephews Marcelo and Chris are visiting and their cousin Mike helped making silverware packets for the fourth! It was great fun and I was so thrilled with their help. It took no more than 10 minutes and we had such a nice table setting with their help. project starts with 4 1/4 X 11 piece of brilliant blue card stock folded it in half. We then folded the front flap down about 1 1/2 inches. Stamped stars allover the front in brilliant blue. Wrapped a 1" strip of real red card stock and adhered a star to the red strip. We then tied a length of twill tape around the folded flap to secure pouch. that's it easy peasy and fun to boot. thanks guys for stepping up!
